Your Shopping Options During COVID-19

April 14, 2020

With stay-at-home orders in effect, it can be difficult to manage the amount of groceries you keep in your house while only going out for essential trips. Luckily, we live during a period where we have many different options to get groceries to fill our pantries; whether you prefer to shop in-store, use a delivery service, or use curb-side pick-up.

Grocery Delivery

Grocery delivery services have been popping up and some of the most widely available ones include PeapodInstacartWalmart, and Shipt. Currently, these services are all in high-demand, so getting a time slot for a grocery delivery can be tough. There are other services that offer delivery as well as some of your small local stores have adapted as well. Be sure to check to see what is available nearest you. Some sites like GroceryDelivery.org can show you local delivery and pick-up options.

Grocery Pick-up

In the last few years, many stores have added a way for you to pick out your groceries online, and you are able to drive to the local location and pick them up at curbside. This is a wildly used and convenient form of shopping that allows you to mostly stay in the safety of your vehicle.

Subscription Boxes

Food subscription boxes deliver fresh produce, meat, dairy, and other groceries, even complete meals to your doorstep by mail each week. This won’t completely replace your shopping trips, but it is a great way to supplement your core grocery shopping and limit your trips to the store as much as possible.

There are a number of difference subscription services that can bring you a variety of different foods.  Farmbox Direct, Misfits Market, Imperfect Foods, ButcherBox are a few such services that can bring you fresh food directly to your door.

Meal delivery kit companies like Hello Fresh, and Blue Apron will mail you a number of complete recipes each week, with the exact ingredients you’ll need to make them. Generally setting you up for at least a few nights of meals a week, you can customize which recipes you receive. Many companies will allow you to add a few extra products as well, if you want a snack or even a staple item, like ground beef.

Remember: Local Business

Many local businesses are adapting to the new environment created with the current situation. Be sure to ask around or look at the local Facebook groups, word of mouth is how many of these small companies are able to stay afloat in times like this. Many of them have adapted with phone ordering, online ordering with safe pick-up options in convenient locations.

The food itself isn’t going anywhere, trust the supply chains put in place. Many websites and services have become overloaded due to a surge in use; but its not for a lack of product. There is no need to panic and hoard items.

There are more than enough ways to either limit your shopping trips or have them come to you; so that we may all stay safe while we wait for this all to pass. At least we can rest assured knowing that we won’t go hungry.

The entire staff was very caring. I had my toddler with me and she was a bit rowdy and they gave her crayons with coloring pages and stickers and even a lollipop to help keep her occupied.

My son scribbled on a piece of paper and handed it to one of the woman in the front, saying that is say how his ears hurt, she accepted it and posted it on the artwork wall, when the PA came in to see him he was made to feel like a big deal because he had known about the paper. This is a place where the staff really cares about their patients and go the extra mile for them

I absolutely love our nurse Tiffany. She made our visit so comfortable. I had two very sick little boys who did not want to go to the Dr. She made the at ease in an instant and she took such great care of them. This was at the Quick care on 441 in Ocala Fl. I'll go back to this one because of her. And recommended to all my friends and family. Thanks so much!

Lol... he's afraid of Needles, and Doctor Offices, in general and I must say, that GWEN, & DEBBIE, were very good to him! Prices for services rendered, were ve

I was there yesterday and I've never felt so shocked. The 3 girls I interacted with were the most pleasant and friendly caregivers I've ever dealt with. Idr the rep's name, but she was quick and prompt at taking all my info and with minimal Qs (kinda hard to answer when I have a cold), then Alexis took over. Very sympathetic, nice, and helpful. Then the physician saw me and was charismatic and very funny. Trying to keep me in good spirits. It was like all 3 were happy to be at their posts and to

We had Zaib Kahn as the provider and NEVER have I seen such a good bedside manner, as they call it! AND he personally called this a.m. to ask how my husband is feeling! (The pharmacy was closed when we left the ofc., and they asked us to allow until 11 to pick up the RXs, but that's NOT YOUR fault ;D I'm thrilled w/ Mr. Kahn's service and may well use your clinic for ALL my medical needs!!!! THANK YOU

The absolute BEST! Everyone here is so nice! We've had to come in a few times & they've always taken great care of us. We're usually out within 20-30 min. All the girls up front are very nice & helpful (you don't find that too often), so is the girl that takes your vitals. Dr B is the amazing! He takes his time to listen to what's wrong & always has a big smile. If we could have this office as our primary care location we would
